On this round trip around the whole island you will discover the coast with dreamy bays and the charm of Mallorca away from the lush nightlife. In the hills in the interior of the island, the wheels of the windmills turn almost inaudibly, and the chirping of cicadas can be heard in the grass.
It is partly hilly on this bike tour, some descents and climbs await you. Coast and inland each have their own charms, you will get to know both. In the dragon caves near Porto Cristo, experience what imaginative, sometimes bizarre architecture nature tends to. Your sense of romance will be indulged in picturesque fishing villages and shimmering salt lakes. And of course you will get many an opportunity to swim.

Highlights of this bike tour

  • The pink and white salt lakes of Sant Jordi
  • Magnificent coastal landscapes
  • Fantastic views in the Tramuntana mountains
  • The capital Palma

Detailed information:  If you arrive in February, experience the enchanting almond blossom!
We reserve the right to make changes to the itinerary (especially on the first two cycling stages) because the hotels in February and March are still closed!

Route (total length 315 km)

Day 1: Arrival in Playa de Palma

Day 2: Playa de Palma – Colonia Sant Jordi | Cycle tour approx. 55 km

Welcome and tour information. The stage leads close to the coast to Capocorp Vell, the kingdom of the Cyclopes (remains of the aboriginal dwellings). Typical wind turbines line the way to the Llevant salt pans with the pink and white shimmering salt lakes. The almost white sandy beach “Es Trenc” is considered to be the most beautiful in Mallorca. In Sant Jordi there are more beaches with crystal clear water.

Day 3: Colònia Sant Jordi – Porto Cristo/surroundings | Bike tour approx. 55-65 km

Via Ses Salines to a botanical garden. Visit to the picturesque bay of Cala Santanyi. Through small fishing villages to the famous natural bridge “Es Pontas”. At Porto Cristo are the dragon caves with bizarre images and shapes. A visit with a guide is definitely worth it!

Day 4: Porto Cristo/surroundings – C’an Picafort | Cycle tour approx. 60 km

Via the sleepy village of Son Carrio to Manacor. Factories here produce the famous Majoricas artificial pearls. Numerous shops offer souvenirs and everyday objects made from hand-made Kermami. Via Petra (a typical “Mallorcan lunchtime snack” is prepared for you here) and Santa Margalida through one of the most enchanting landscapes on the island to C’an Picafort. Today it is sandy beaches that line the sea again.

Day 5: Bay of Pollenca/Alcúdia | Bike ride about 40 km

For once, don’t pack your bags. You stay for another night in C’an Picafort. The bike tour leads through a bird park (S’Albufera nature reserve) to the bay of Pollenca (Roman port). On the coastal path to Alcúdia (oldest town on the island) and back to C’an Picafort.

Day 6: C’an Picafort – Port de Sóller | Bike tour approx. 50 km + bus transfer

Inland via Muro and Inca to the mountainous landscape of the Sierra de Tramuntana. Bus transfer to the Lluc Monastery (visiting possible) and further at 1200 m above sea level, past the large reservoirs, the water reservoir of Mallorca. The descent by bike leads to Fornalutx (“most beautiful village in Spain”); usually you can enjoy an excellent paella menu (included) in a cozy terrace restaurant. You then cycle partly through orange and lemon plantations down to Port de Sóller, one of the loveliest fishing villages on the island.

Day 7: Port de Sóller – Playa de Palma | Cycle tour approx. 55 km

Breathtaking views over the sea open up the last cycling stage again. Passing the picturesque villages of Deia and Valldemossa, we head along the rugged west coast with its fascinating landscape in the direction of Palma. You should definitely explore the island’s capital with its narrow streets and wide squares before taking the cycle path along the sandy beach back to the starting point of the journey.
